I have completed a wide variety of tasks throughout my summers interning, and eventually working full-time with this program, including; writing, editing, print and web design, data analysis, and event planning. My work within this department is published in multiple nationally distributed magazines, Innovation magazine and the R&D 100 magazine. I feel that this internship has been exceptionally valuable because of the need for effective communication within the science industry, as well as the opportunity to work with multiple companies through the MBA program offered by the division.

Operational Communications Intern
My love for travel prompted me to work with Southwest Airlines for a semester after graduation. Through this internship, I have had the pleasure of working towards the communications goals of a Fortune 500 company. My responsibilities centered around communicating with the Ground Operations employee group through various channels, such as daily news blasts and the monthly magazine. In addition, I had the opportunity to implement different communications strategies within the company, such as the Start Strong initiative to promote the importance on time arrivals.

KSU College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM)
Communications Intern
I am proud to have acted as a representative for one of the most prestigious colleges within my university. A few of tasks that I completed during my year with the CVM include brochure design and press releases. However, my primary duty was the coordination of the monthly newsletter, Lifelines. I collect stories, take pictures and interview individuals within the college in order to complete a timely and relevant publication. My work was also featured in the magazine published through the college, Healing Hands.
